Flaps on the RCN Residential Network were detected today, we have ticket open with RCN ISP to check the issue.
New SFP was installed successfully and link was switched back on 10G

the 10GB SFP connector also died, a redundant connection on 1Gig speed was installed till SFP is replaced in upcoming days.
Its been about 12 hours now without any issues seen, we were able to setup a second network interface on the server so either can be used now in a bridge. We believe the original SFP module has gone bad and will be replacing that soon. You won't notice any network interruption though since there is now a redundant network bridge.
We are still seeing flaps, reported back to RCN ISP to check further for any other issues beside the replaced cable.
The network cable has been replaced and the server is back online now. We are going to keep an eye on it though and ensure it remains stable.
We continue to follow up on RCN ISP for tech updates, no ETA just yet
RCN ISP is suspecting cable or SFP+ module on the switch side may have died. They are waiting for the onsite tech to check into this.
